Craig is heading to international.
DECA members Sawyer Sullivan, Allison Hainstock and Jacob Ngobi qualified at the state competition held Mar. 5-7 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wis.
Craig’s 37 DECA members competed in a competition at Sun Prairie High School on January 6, 2018.
The competition consisted of 24 schools from around southern Wisconsin, with 916 students in attendance and over 135 business & marketing professionals assisting in the operation of the conference.
The business & marketing professionals are from a variety of occupations relating to the business industry.
DECA, an association of marketing students, focuses on business and marketing competencies.
The competition evaluates students in business and marketing situations with the help of local business people.
Students compete in written events, which relate to economics, finance, promotion, risk management, customer service, selling, product development, marketing concepts, entrepreneurship, and business math.
Students also test their oral presentation skills via different situations in the business world through role-play events.
