Hocking signs letter of intent to play football

On Thursday, Feb. 8, in front of family, friends, and teachers, senior Quintin Hocking signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Athletic director Ben McCormick praised Quintin. “We believe Quintin will continue to improve. He is a hard worker,” he said. Head football coach Adam Bunderson agreed. “He gave his all. He is always looking for ways to improve.” Quintin expressed gratitude. “Thank you to my mom and dad. The Craig coaching staff did a great job preparing me, and teachers helped with my academics.” His most memorable moment was going to the playoffs this past season. “We didn’t advance, but It was still awesome.” He chose Jamestown after coaches contacted him. “I took an athletic tour. Beautiful campus. The coaching staff is supportive. They want athletes but also students. When I received my offer, I didn’t hesitate to say yes.” Jamestown University’s teams are called the Jimmies. The city has a population of 15,000 and is located in east-central North Dakota. 629 miles away from Janesville. Their teams are part of the North Star Athletic Association of the NAIA, and their head coach is Josh Kittell |
