Wonder

Well, on Rotten Tomatoes it has 85% for Critics and 91% for audiences. The first week Wonder made over 27.5 million dollars and was right behind Justice League, which made, 93.8 million.
The lm is based on the New York Times bestseller. It tells a story about a young boy named August who has facial differences and is about to enter 5th grade. It shows the challenges of him going to school for the first time.
I would say that the best thing about the movie is the acting. We see much growth with Jacob Tremblay, who plays August, from his role in Room.
Also, the young kids did a great job of showing their conflict about what is happening to August.
The writing is great. With the writing, we get to see the perspective of August’s parents, sibling, sibling’s friend, and classmates.
Also, the director did a great job showing us the perspective of the people who are in August’s life.
The director’s previous work includes the movie adaptation of the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which he also wrote.
The only downside is the pacing of the movie.
The movie could have been cut 15 minutes because it was a little long.
There is a scene that could’ve been shorter or have been cut from the movie because it wasn’t important to the lm as a whole.
I would give this movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars because the movie has great actors, writing, and the direction of the movie, but the pac- ing of the movie brought it down for me.

it's a wonderful life

It’s a Wonderful Life is a classic Christmas movie. But is it any good?
On Rotten Tomatoes the Critics gave this movie 94% and the audiences gave this movie 95%. When the movie came out in 1946 it made 3.3 million dollars at that time.
The movie is about a life of man named George Bailey. An angel is sent to prove to him how good his life is by showing him what life would be like if he never existed.
This is a great movie that shows how you may think your life isn’t so great, but it really is great.
The acting in the movie is very good. The cast acts like they have been in other movie roles before.
The writing and directing is the best that was possible in the 1940’s.
The movie is really long, though. It is over 2 hours, but I think it would be hard to go under that because the movie has to show George Bailey’s life before showing what would happen if he had never exist- ed. That is because the events in his real life are important to the plot of the story.
I would give the movie 4.5 out of 5 stars because it’s a great Christmas movie--and a great movie to watch anytime, actually!
The movie is playing at the Marcus theater in Sun Prairie on Christmas Eve on NBC TV at 7:00pm.

Video game Review- Need for Speed: payback
by Jefferson Perri

Here’s the setting: you have been trusted to drive a hypercar in a race.
What do you do?
If you said anything like, “Take off with it and keep it for myself,” then you would describe the beginning of the video game Need for Speed: Payback.
After stealing the car, you and your crew get backstabbed by someone you’re working with named Lina Navarro.
You play between three characters: Tyler “Ty” Morgan, Sean “Mac” MacAlister, and Jessica “Jess” Miller.
The whole premise of the game is to get back at Navarro and to do that, you have to rebuild your crew and take over the city.
You do this is by buying cars and building them while also taking out the other crews by racing their leaders.
When I started this game I heard rumors of this game being riddled with micro- transactions and having a bad progression system, but when I tried it, I experienced none of these problems.
The gameplay was smooth. It has different styles of racing, and when you build a car for a specific race style, it feels like it’s made for it.
in other words, a drift car feels like a drift car, which helps when you start doing harder races especially when you face a crew boss.
I rate this game a seven out of ten it would be a seven because while it’s interesting, it can be dull at the same time.
Also, you have to build a car better than the recommended power to even have a chance.
While it accomplishes its task of being a racing game, it doesn’t do it as well as other games of the series.
A lot of people who like racing games have always played this series and liked it, but nowadays it’s not as big of a player base as it used to be since most people have switched over to playing fps games and RPGs.
If you like racing games, this a good pick, but it does get difficult at times, and if you’re not that great at racing games, it can be frustrating.
I would say if you want to play an easy racing game, then Need for Speed: Payback isn’t the right one for you.
