Yay for a number 16 seed in the NCAA tournament beating a 1 seed for the first time in history.
Nay for all the busted brackets.
Yay for Nate Ellis (6th place) and Keeanu Benton (2nd place) qualifying for state!
Nay for the end of an exciting wrestling season.
Yay for the start of spring sports.
Nay for everyone having to practice inside because it’s still chilly outside (except for the runners, who have to tough out the cold!)
Yay for spring break coming up!
Nay for all students who are staying in Wisconsin. Go somewhere warm!
Yay for the end of the third quarter. We are almost done with the year!
Nay for all of the tests you have to get done before it.
Yay for Freshmen, Sophomores and Seniors getting a day and a half off while the Juniors test.
Nay for juniors having to take the ACT and Workkeys (at least the test is free!)
Yay for Coach Jean Welch for being named Big 8 Gymnastics Coach of the year and for Coach Mark Mullen being named Big 8 Wrestling Coach of the Year!
Nay for the end of winter sports!
Yay for the 344 students who received an academic award for scholastic excellence and all seniors who were inducted into National Honors Society.
Nay for all students who were on the cusp of receiving academic recognition! You can get an award next year!
Yay for making new friends from a different country.
Nay for having to say goodbye to the Argentine students.
Yay for Mr. Miles being recognized as a Great Classrooms Initiative Educator by Property Revival Realty, and receiving a large donation toward the Investment Club field trip. (See more on page 6)
Nay for him making the distance track athletes do 1600 meter repeats, talk about FAST!
Yay for Emily Pierson and Cassie Goswick for being named 2nd and 3rd team All-Conference in basketball!
Nay for their great season ending so early.
Yays for student achievements: For Andrea Corro, who received the NCWIT award for her aspirations in computing! For Anne Runde receiving the YWCA Young Woman of Distinction Award! For the A capella choir being recognized as young historymakers! For the five DECA students who won Series Champion, for the ten DECA State Qualifiers, and the three international qualifiers!
And yay for Peyton Sippy being recognized for her athletic accomplishments with her State Champion plaque!
