Nay for expensive dresses and suits. Yay for AP tests, that means the rest of the year just got a lot easier. Nay for the actual tests, three-plus hours on one subject is hard. Yay for the warmer weather, being outside is nice, Nay for the bugs coming out. Yay for having the day before prom off, it's also Cinco de Mayo! Nay for not having a snow day this year, there were a couple days that were pretty icy. Yay for only having five weeks until summer! Nay for 5 whole weeks until summer, this is the longest part of the year. Yay for Erin Murphy, a Honor Wall Member, who is running for Minnesota Governor! Nay for the fact that she would only be the first woman to be Governor in Minnesota. Yay for May, the flowers are blooming! Nay for a cold start, the weather needs to remember it's supposed to be warm out. Yay for spring sports doing so well! Nay for all the rain, so many games have been cancelled. Nay for the shooting in Texas and the other one in California, it is getting way too common. Yay for falling leaves and cool breezes. Nay for fall sports ending, until next year! Yay for winter sports starting! Nay for fall coming closer to an end. Yay for first term being over! Nay for all the CBAs. Yay for Syria joining the Paris Climate Accord, now we just need us! Nay for constant sexual assault in our modern society, but at least it is being talked about. Yay for the brave women and men speaking up. Nay for the terrorist truck attack in New York. Yay for the annoying bugs going to freeze! Nay for the nice ones having to leave. Yay for cold weather, hopefully we’ll get snow. Nay for the cold classrooms. Yay for the ve day break! Nay for the rush of test that were trying to be completed before then. Yay for Black Friday shopping, sales are nice. Nay for the deadly craze that happens then, hope everyone was careful! Yay for March, spring must be coming soon!
Nay for March being colder than February, I think we got spoiled. Yay for the days getting longer, there is sun after 6! Nay for spring forward, back to dark mornings. Yay for St. Patrick’s Day, let the Irish roots shine! Nay for forgetting to wear green, getting pinched is no fun. Yay for spring sports starting, track gets everybody out! Nay for basketball ending, the boys and girls made such good runs. Yay for the new spring Starbucks cups, they are so cute! Nay for them not having the Starbucks logo, makes it hard to show off your coffee. Yay for the Chicago river being dyed green, it is pretty impressive. Yay for it just looking dirtier than usual, I wonder if the fish turn green too. Yay for the five day weekend for conferences, we haven’t had a day off since January! Nay for spring break not being until April, breaks are necessary for mental health. Yay for Pi day, always a good day for pi(e). Nay for snow on Pi day, I thought we were done with the icy cold. |

Nay for spring break being almost two months away. Yay for longer days, sun in the evening is nice. Nay for it still being cold, the frost on my windshield in the morning is getting old. Yay for there being no snow, it is almost like it isn’t winter. Nay for Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow, six more weeks of winter is no fun whether there is snow or not. Yay for mid-quarter, the semester is already a fourth of the way done! Nay for it only being mid quarter, we still have three fourths of a semester to go! Yay for the day off when the juniors take the ACT. Nay for the juniors taking the ACT. At least it is free. Yay for the Criterion having a Valentine’s issue, it is super fun! Yay for the end of first semester, we got a day off!
Nay for no breaks until March, we are in for the long haul. Yay for grades getting reset for second semester, it's a fresh start. Nay for losing those really high As, that cushion sure was fun. Yay for warm weather and melting snow, it makes January much more bearable. Nay for the ice storms, honestly snow is easier to handle than ice. Yay for the last semester of senior year, we are almost done! Nay for the unknown after high school, the future is exciting though. Yay for the freshman finishing their first semester, great job everyone! Nay for new semester classes, it is the beginning of the year all over again. Yay for the Super Bowl, the commercials had better be good. Nay for the Packers not going, all those injuries really added up. Yay for the boys basketball team doing really well! Keep it up! Nay for late night practices, but they are probably worth it. Yay for the days getting longer, it might not feel like it, but we are gaining time everyday. Nay for it still being dark, a minute or two really doesn’t make a difference. Yay for cabin socks everyday, they are really the best thing on Earth. Nay for needing to wear cabin socks everyday, the school is so cold. |
Yay for college friends coming home! They are here for almost a month!
Nay for only getting only 11 days off. We need more than that! Yay for all of out D1 and D2 athletes! You guys are awesome! Nay for them leaving, their teams will miss them. Yay for Christmas cookies, cookies are great anytime of the year! Nay for fruit cake. Hard cake is not good cake. Yay for Santa coming down the chimney! Nay for him getting stuck. It’s bound to happen sometime. Yay for snow, everything sparkles! Nay for cleaning off cars. I’m pretty sure it all ends up on me. Yay for the ice, cheap humor is great. Nay for falling on the ice. It really isn’t funny when it happens to you. Yay for presents, what else is Christmas for? Nay for all the wrapping paper to clean up, it seems pretty wasteful. Yay for having time to go on an adventure, Nay for traveling in snow. Yay for a break from school, we need it desperately. Nay for semester coming to an end, without exam week, how will we study? Yay for spending time with family, that’s what the holidays are for. Nay for awkward political conversations. Thanksgiving drama all over again! Yay for playing in snow, Nay for a foot of it and all the ice. Yay for January, new year new me! Nay for January, it is always so cold. |

Nay for all the homework during the breaks. We need some R & R! Yay for basketball and hockey season, so many games to cheer for! Nay for fall sports ending, there was a lot of fun to be had. Yay for Halloween! Nay for candy overload. Time for some veggies! Yay for Into the Woods! What a bunch of talented singers and actors! Nay for all the late nights for the cast. Only 3 more to go. Nay for the first wave of CBAs, a test in every class and teachers having to grade on a deadline. Yay for the 2016 election! History is being made. Nay for getting up before 8 a.m. Early mornings are rough. Yay for decorated hallways for homecoming, everything looked really good! Nay for the decorating taking 12 hours just to be torn down. Yay for TPing Parker, we did a great job. Nay for Parker forking our field, but thanks for making it easier to eat the mashed potatoes. Yay for Safari Nerf Battle, Nay for losing all of the darts. Those things are expensive. Yay for the Craig-Parker game, preps do it the best. Nay for losing our streak, we wanted that 5-peat. Yay for making it to senior year, we made it out alive! Nay for college applications, the future is scary. Yay for new freshman! So many new faces! Nay for graduated seniors, those were some awesome people. Yay for Senior Friday Night Lights Jerseys on Fridays! One less outfit to plan! Nay for the jerseys being cold and hot at the same time. Not entirely sure how that can happen. Yay for fall and everything Pumpkin Spice! The Dunkin Donuts muffins are really good. Nay for summer ending, it gets dark so early now! Yay for assigned parking spots, it doesn’t matter when I get to school now! Nay for hall sweeps again. I just want to sleep in! |
