Honoring a hero’s legacy: Craig commemorates MLK day

On January 15, Craig honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by holding an assembly to recognize his stand against intolerance and racism and his signifiant contributions to the fight for civil rights.Senior Stephanie Ayala speaks about the significance of the day. Junior Qusai Aloman introduced the Black National Anthem. Craig’s A Capella choir sang “Glory,” and senior Kiana Moore performed a solo. Mr. Rick Daniels was the assembly’s featured speaker. The mosaic of Dr. King was created by students in Mrs. Kane’s Drawing I class. Mr. Rick Daniels lent his powerful voice to the event as its featured speaker. The band also contributed their talents.
